I am considering spending 1-2yrs working in Australia and would appreciate any tips from any of you who have experience with this! I have found some very helpful locum sites (kookaburra and vetlink) but any further help would be much appreciated

Re: Working in Australia

If you are under 30 you can apply for a working holiday visa - that is the one that lets you stay for a year with a maximum of 6 months in any one job.

I believe otherwise you need to be sponsored - either by an employer or by one of the states/territories. My sister and brother in law went for 2 years (not vets) they got loads of useful information from going to an expo held in London which made the visa application much easier.
