It was ridiculous (although no more so than Silverstone!) but I love Corsica so will forgive them. I now need to work out how to get in for 7pm every evening for the next three weeks when I usually get in at around 8.30 pm.

My cycle-racing-obsessive father (he dragged me - willingly - round many Tours when I was a teenager) has gone to extreme lengths to make sure that he can watch every stage in full this year. He tore his quads off his kneecap on Friday, has had surgery and been told to sit on the sofa for the next 3 weeks. Nice timing!

My husband doesn't get it. He watched Saturday's stage and wondered at the stupidity of racing 220km to all then be given the same time at the end!
