Hi! I work for the Connaught in Kingswinford!

I have referred many patients to Howard Jones who is based in Telford and I think he is great! He is APBC reg but not a full member but has been in the business years. He is also relatively cheap and will do home visits. His contact numbers are; 01952 261051 and 07779748431.

There is also Claire Kirby in Shrewsbury at 4-legs-good. I haven't sent anything to her but colleagues really rate her and she has produced some really good written reports for patients.

There is also Claire Arrowsmith at the Pet Behaviour Centre in Warwickshire. I have met her, she is really nice and a full APBC member, I think she might be quite expensive though.

I also second the advice about Sarah Heath, she is amazing!

There are some great behaviourists in the Midlands, whereabouts are you? I can pass on some details if you like. Otherwise check out the APBC website, if I didn't know them personally I would only refer to someone APBC registered.

It's the reputable I'm struggling with, that's why I've started looking into behaviour training myself, but I'm in the baby stages for that. The very reputable ones I know of are at wither end of the country, one Scotland one Bristrol, but this is something I have considered and might convince client to consider travelling, the only down side to this is that they don't get to see his worst behaviour at home. He can be sweet as pie until things don't go his way.

Good idea, but I forgot to put in post that I have tried the Adaptil collar :(, I think one of the biggest issues is the poor house environment he came from, and unlikely to have been socialised properly.

I would get a behaviourist involved asap. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands and a special interest in behavioural work, these cases become quite headachey.

I would definitely refer to a reputable animal behaviourist. There's a lot that could help but it needs a proper diagnosis before you can do too much. For example, is it OCD, anxiety, etc. Combine this with Clomicalm or Prozac would be worth while.

I'm sure others will come up with much more helpful hints, but have you tried using Adaptil products in this situation? With 2 houses it may be easier to use the collar, and will help with behavioural modification therapy that will no doubt be suggested soon.
