Bose lifestyle (old) stereo and speakers, project solid state phono box and an RPM 5 turntable. Have been just blown away by the sound of a low mid range turntable (these things go up to 5 figures and I spent 3) through a low mid range Bose stereo that I inherited. I find it super relaxing!

The Bose sounds great! Sadly, I gave away most of my vinyl albums which was a big mistake, leaving only about a dozen or so treasured ones. I do love my Ipod and I'm always impressed at how good it sounds for such a small device with so much stuff on it. In the house, I park the Ipod on a Klipsch IGroove HG Speaker dock which has halfed in price over the years ( now 66 bucks) and which delivers a great sound quality even in a decent sized room. I'm sure audiophiles would sneer but I think it's pretty good!

Re: Audiophiles?

I'm certainly a fan of being able to carry my entire life worth of music around in my pocket.
