Anyone got any comments/heard anything about this company? Might be some help for kit suggestions though.

Shock or dealing with bleeding or fractures is fundamentally the same whatever the species. So long as you aware our patients bite and are hairy there's not much difference. I have a first aid kit in the car that I am happy to share between people and pets.

The trainers must be approved to deliver the nominated person training etc.

Re: Pet First Aid

I think he's just giving info on how to cope and not panic in any given scenario. Most are started or followed by "see the vet ASAP". Looks like sensible information.

Re: Pet First Aid

I already had a first aid kit list in mind similar to yours. Glad to see great minds think alike! I noticed they didn't list a tick remover! :-)

Was just a bit dubious about this company when I found their website. Not sure how qualified he is to be "training" pet owners re shock, RTAs etc as their website states.....

You can make up a better pet first aid kit for similar money. A half decent pair of curved scissors and a WOW bandage for an improvised muzzle essential.

Couple of 5cm cohesive bandages, tick remover, sterile swabs, and a couple of Melonin would do. The little saline pods are fine but there is never enough in there (plus the WOW and scissors).
