I calculated the cost and with our discount and buying group, only 1 size of Loxicom was cheaper than Metacam and all the other brands worked out more expensive. I suppose it all depends on what discounts you get from different manufacturers.

I suspect Metacam deals are mainly outside the buying groups as it is much more expensive for us to buy!

Have you tried the Virbac one? Price is very competitive! Our clients are used to us chopping and changing according to price and are happy to see a drop in bottle price on a regular basis.

We use a little calculator offered by our buying group to make sure we continue to make a similar profit whilst still allowing the client to benefit!

OK. With our buying group Metacam is more than twice the price of Loxicom when looking at net net price!

Um, these have been available on request for years! (But as you say, I believe they never got the pack license updated to include them so they're not publicised).

Is anyone still buying branded Metacam?

We use the Loxicom 0.5mg/ml for small dogs.
