Thanks Gerry and Evelyn - time to harangue some reps I feel. Our old fashioned filament powered lamps are feeling their age and, at £25.00 per replacement light-bulb, I feel we have had our money's-worth out of them.

Ah, I can be of use here; we've just bought a Brandon Astramax HD* listed as being for sale (HCE, Burtons, etc) at £3500.00 + VAT or thereabouts. I can reveal however that if you phone the Henry Schein sales team and tell them you've seen their online offer of £2700 + VAT, they will, after a bit of badgering, sell it to you for the offer price, ie a saving of £800. If I can find the link to the offer I'll post it tomorrow.

If I were re-equipping now I'd be thinking of LEDs. Good light, no heat, no irritating bulb failures. But I've no experience of same.

(Unfortunately I had just finished buying and installing new lights when LEDs burst upon the scene).
