I recently purchased "The Cat: Clinical medicine and management" by Susan Little and have found it to be pretty amazing - I just want to sit around all day and read it!

I also have to second the recommendation for the August textbooks.

I find 'The feline patient' - Norsworthy (Wiley-Blackwell) a very useful reference.

As above the first go-to is Chandler. Fantastic book, pity they seem to have stopped making them

Consultations in Feline Medicine by August is a 2006 one which is also very user-friendly and detailed enough (British author).

If you join RCVS Trust library for a year for £85 this grants you access to Science Direct and Wiley where you can access and (I think) download those 2 books.

JFMS access would be useful, but not available electronically on RCVS Trust as far as I can see

Feline Medicine & Therapeutics; Chandler, Gaskell et al (Blackwell) serves me well. Also have Feline Emergency and Critical Care Medicine; Drobatz, & Costello (Wiley-Blackwell) on the shelf but rarely use it as it is not user friendly.

Kit Sturgess 'Feline internal medicine' is quite nice to have on the shelf.

Not sure if there is a second edition but very useful as a quick reference book. Not a bad price (says me going on to Amazon to see if there is a second edition!).
