Thanks for the reply. As far as I know there isn't a set pay scale or anything like that within the company.

I'm not a member of SPVS so I don't think I can access their survey results can I? I don't really want to pay £150 just to see the survey. I did fill in the survey last year which entitled me to 3 months free membership but I never filled in the application at the time. I think it's probably too late now.

I'd have thought the corporate structure would dictate such things? It is relatively uncharted territory as if you look at the SPVS salary survey there is a huge range of salaries at all levels, and that is simply based on years qualified.

Compare your salary to the SPVS mean and maybe home for a bit more? if you are already earning 25% more than your peers then you might not get much. Don't forget it is the value of the 'package' that counts not just monetary salary (ie if they gave you a company car and BUPA healthcare you might get no more money but really be earning more).
