We had factored in a certain amount for inflation but not these sorts of rates.
How often do others review the monthly payment amounts especially

Re: Practice Plans

Certainly it will be difficult to maintain client trust if you are increasing charges and there is a lot of competition between clinics. It is hard to quantify the actually benefits of these plans as the idea is to bond your clients ensuring that they come to you more frequently and sooner than they perhaps otherwise would for certain things. I would say that if you have otherwise worked out your costs and your team are selling the benefits correctly even this sort of price rise should still drive the desired results - good luck.

Re: Practice Plans

Our scheme offers 'rock bottom' price for products we trust. It is designed primarily to get that large number that just see me once a year for boosters and use less reliable flea and worming products.

There are 'bolt-ons' for those wanting other products but Seresto collars have shown themselves to be really good here. We do base the scheme on two collars a year!

I find it a bit sad that with inflation as it is and the pressures clients are under that some companies feel they can get away with these well over inflation price rises.

We have learned a lesson and will adjust our plans next year. Perhaps have a basic one and a super-dooper version!

Re: Practice Plans

You will find many don't take their allocated goods. Were you simply relying on Seresto collars and Milbemax or was that one of a few combinations? Our pp allowed for any flea treatment, and many of the spot on drops were not collected.

Re: Practice Plans

We will be shopping around so Novartis will lose out. I was more than a little surprised by the scale of some of the recent price rises. Perhaps it is to allow them to offer better deals to the internet pharmacies and large corporates.

Not quite so keen to push the benefits of the plan as I was expecting!

Re: Practice Plans

Who is your plan through? Ours is via "The Practice Business" a subsidiary of Denplan. It is in the T&C when the owner signs up that the price is valid for 12 months and will then be reviewed, so we can't change any more often than that.

Are you in a buying group? You could swap to a cheaper wormer, that would likely be as good.

Re: Practice Plans

Makes a note of another good reason to continue procrastinating on introducing them in his practice.
