Is this just a fridge that is stuck to the wall? Or does it dispense the vaccine for you? What's the big benefit over say, a functional fridge...?

Our vaccine fridge has a warning over or under temperature alarm and temperature logger. The main plus with the Merck one was it would have been FOC if we used Nobivac vaccines!

Nice idea and a heck of a lot better than getting a box of vaccines out of the fridge for surgery and putting them back at the end as we used to do years ago!

Hi

We have one in every room and they are brilliant - our GP was very impressed when she came with her dog for a vaccine, as they didn't have one in their surgery!

Will send you details when next at work (tuesday)

[/quote]

There's probably a very good reason for that. Human products must be stored in a refrigerator complying with RPSGB standards. I don't think a wall chiller would meet the guidelines.

We have had the Intervet/Mrack ones in two of the practices I have worked in and both have been dodgy and unable to maintain constant temps. The temp is recorded by a device that sits in one of the holders where the vaccines go and has a USB port so can download info to a computer.

They were good however, when they were working reliably and you cant fault the easy access and grabbing vaccines withough having to stoop down to the fridge.
