&lt;p&gt;The ECZM diplomas are residency based on the whole, though depending on your level of experience (&amp;gt;7yrs clinical in the speciality, 6 published&amp;nbsp;research papers, lecturing experience etc) you may be able to apply for de facto recognition in one of the newer disciplines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Another option is the RVC&amp;nbsp;Masters course in Wild animal health which focusses on exotic species.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think ESVPS were going to try and get their certificate recognised by the RCVS but no word as yet.&lt;/p&gt;
