I looked into this once, a long time ago. As I recall, there were significant and demonstrable improvements in the healing with laser treatment, but the choice of wavelength was critical: a different wavelength had no effect. (Another wavelength might even have the opposite effect, for all we know without trying it). The point was, it was light at the correct wavelength that had the beneficial effect. It did not have to come from a laser. Another type of bright source would do, as long as it was the right wavelength. But the laser provided the most intense source).

I consider that such things as infra-red lasers are just fancy ways of "putting energy into", i.e. warming, the tissues.

Supposedly for the aid of wound healing and joints. Sounded a bit like 'magnet therapy'. The examples he presented were pretty interesting. Particularly one wound. Received surgical debridement 50% laser therapy 50% the there was a vast difference between the two sides.

What sort of laser therapy? For what conditions? It's not all one.

In 1 sentence- yes probably, but not worth the money right now, better to learn acupuncture

Just been speaking to a bloke selling laser therapy. I'm sceptical to be honest. Anybody with experience of these things? Do they make a difference?

If anybody is looking I am tall and balding with a rucksack. I also heard that Arlo has been conning us with his youthful looking avatar and he is not as youthful as he leads us to believe. Older and greying was the description! Although as I am sure people will point out, having no avatar gives me little room to talk.

The tube does not run to Kensington Olympia at all now. Overground trains only into KO. There are at least a couple of other tube stations 10-15minutes walk away though. The LVS website has details on re travel. Trains into KO run from Clapham Junction I believe (can get to Clapham Junction easily from Waterloo I am informed).

Just a tiny suggestion: getting the Tube to Olympia can be a real pain of a journey. Depending where you are coming from, it can be much pleasanter and quicker to get the Tube to Holland Park and walk across the park (if the weather is fair).

I suggest a walk past or slightly louche loiter at say "on the hour" so that some of us aren't arrested peering at badges prominently [geddit] displayed by some of our younger colleagues for hours and hours...
