Went on a house visit to put an old, but aggressive GSD to sleep- whole family there, and I mean around 10 people squashed into the living room, all weeping and wailing, hugging the dog. Dog was pretty moribund, but suddenly came to life and tried to eat myself and the nurse, so decided to sedate with domitor. problem was the whole family&#39;s noisy and demonstrative mourning was preventing the sedative kicking in, so I asked if we could have a few minutes quiet to allow it to work. Everyone accordingly fell into a deathly silence...just as Stairway to Heaven came on the radio. The full length version. Agonising.
