At uni in Bristol we had reusable ones, red fabric.
Does anyone use these washable blankets and know where they can be purchased, or do

Re: Reusable/Washable Bair Hugger Blankets

If you have a sewing machine, get some high thread count pillow cases, run a few lines along the length to give air channels, and off you go. We have lots of these and they are great for cat/small dog. Toasty warm. We also use the large size red washable blanket from Vet Inst which is handy to have for the bigger guys.

Re: Reusable/Washable Bair Hugger Blankets
aaahh, but it's a hairdryer with a thermostat... unless you have them on full blast it's like having an asthmatic gerbil breathe on you anyway.
I remember them from college but I am not paying £1000+ for one!

I found your re-usable blankets. They are in the Vet Instrumentation Catalogue on page 317.
(no idea where you'd get them from, but why are they so damn expensive? There can't be anything in there not in a £20 hair-dryer with a bit of tumble dryer hose. )
