No mankini fortunately! Just standard, non club affiliated kit. His beahviour was odd because although there was a fair sized group of people where we were we didin't have the huge densely packed crowds they got at Barhatch Lane. So we had a quiet, civilised lot all waiting patiently and quietly, and one stand out moron in the middle of the road - he stood there for a good 30 minutes I think.

Yes would be good to meet up at some point on the bikes. I might do the cyclocross sportive in your neck of the woods in January.

Re: Good Samaritan Vet, Caerphilly mountain, Tour of Britain.

As an aside I got some photos from the VIP area at the end of Stage 7 in Dartmouth - Fab day :)

NO Martin but did get out to watch the Tour come up Leith Hill. Nice day out, lots of spectators using pretty much every possible form of transport and everyone I saw was having a great time and being very courteous and careful on the roads.

Actually that said there was one idiot cyclist who did insist on standing in the middle of the road so that the police outriders had to keep shooing him in towards the edge.

I went out for 4 hour ride on Sunday and half intended watching the Guildford stage but didn't in the end. But I was nearly knocked off twice by dithering women drivers both who suddenly started to turn right without prior indication as I was overtaking them, it was only my anticipation they they may do something stupid and bike handling stills that save me yet the attitude of both was that it was my fault!!. Both had just passed me on a narrow road then immediately slowed which was inconsiderate enough on its own without the impromptu right turn. At risk of opening Pandora's Box again on this drivers are too impatient and unaware of their surroundings plus don't give consideration for just how fast cyclists can go.
