You have my sympathies I've 2 points to make: 1st well done for posting as "anon" the reason is because of the second point: 2nd: I've been in the same position as you. I did some ops on some shall we say very minority species which after I left were used on a website. When I raised my objections, I was the one reported to profcon for apparently slagging off another vet surgery. That's why I've posted this as anon. I was not approached or written to to get the matter sorted. I would just write this off in your own mind, clealy you were an asset to this surgery and their posting of your work vindicates your talents. That's how I think of my situation anyway.

My first practice still has a few pictures of me - I don't mind, I had a very fine walrus mustache at the time that I am still quite proud of! (Wife made me shave it off a few years ago, regrettably!)

I haven't seen the website, so can't really judge, but I would say that if they're just showing facilities, then fine-it doesn't really matter who the bods are If they're claiming expertise which is no longer present, then I would say it's something for Prof Con I'd sooner try ProfCon b4 Trading Standards, as RCVS can give a gentle hint,whilst Trading Standards are more likely to invove the courts

Not Speaking really. I don`t think its something I want to get profcon involved with and if the website was built while I was still there I wouldn`t mind as much I suppose.

I assume you knew they were taking the pictures when they did?

Photos of surgery usually just give an impression of the facilities rather than individual procedures so I wouldn't be too concerned, if they were advertising specific procedures that they don't do at all then that's a different story. Worthy of trading standards? I'm not so sure, wouldn't it be easier to put them behind you and move on if you no longer work there? There's worse things going on around the place. If you were REALLY worried that welfare issues were involved with inappropriate procedures, I would first want to discuss it with the practice if I knew them and worked with them. Failing that and only if there were serious issues, maybe it's worth talking to profcon?
