Unfortuneately this is yet another law no-one seems interested in enforcing

The only other thing you can do is sack the client

Dear Ms Richardson,

This is unfair. I have been alerted to falsification of a script by a client by an internet pharmacy and I was grateful for their alertness given that it was my signature on the legal document. I wrote and thanked them - have you?

VMD are looking into this matter at the moment. as part of their ongoing attempts to regulate internet pharmacies.

BVA are being slow to look at ways of modifying their prescription form, incidentally largely designed by Bob Partridge. Sensible measures that can be done by vets right now include putting the date in numerals and longhand and signing the script with what might be called a "flourish" - difficult to alter. Long term using an obscuring background in some of the fields may compromise fax reproduction, but also modification.

Why don't you contact your BVA rep and VMD with your suggestions as well?

Apparently someone spotted the different font used for the date and thought to give us a call and check. Better late than never I guess. I am not sure what the meds were to be honest, I didn't take the call and I had not seen the case in the past either.

Re: Client has altered and reused written prescription
The prescription had the old clinic address before it moved three years ago so no chance of someone not even logging the notes.
Sow what changed to make to pharmacy suddenly suspicious? Did they employ someone new who actually gave a toss about whether the animal may or may not have been seen by a vet? What was the prescription for anyway out of interest?

Re: Client has altered and reused written prescription
Probably not enough I suspect
