Man that red Veotryl banner at the top was really p**ng me off, I am glad its back to green now - thanks Arlo(or maybe my page is cached- either way hope it stays that way)

Advertising obviously is essential, but blatant in your face adverts are annoying and discourage me from coming to a website, and the vetoryl one was bordering on that. Also interesting the effect on the human psyche - the red was loud the vetoryl was in your face, and mostly what bugged me was it didn't 'look' like vetsurgeon.org, the familiar green background was gone and replaced with a more aggressive red.. I think this bugged me the most (the colour change)!

Don't worry, I haven't sold to any other business - and no plans in that direction. Someone would have to pay me an inordinately large sum of money. I mean, you don't get any return on money in the bank these days.

This being the first site takeover, it was a bit of an experiment. I agree with you that if we do it again, we need to either alternate the banner, or keep vetsurgeon.org in smaller writing somewhere at the top.

No Problem with advertising at all

That means you have a cached version of the site, which will clear in time. To hasten it, press Ctrl + Refresh (ie 'hard' refresh). Or just refresh the page.
