Check the browser bar at the top - if it has adblocker there will be a red ABP logo if activated or grey if disabled.

It is actually advertising some pretty good CPD (as do the other Dechra ads!

If they can get us to recognise more Cushings dogs they will sell more!

LOL :0) That'd be nice, but I think its unlikely to have any effect whatsoever... it's not as though there were alternatives! When there are, I'll use those. I tend to remember ads that really irritate me, and thereafter consciously avoid the product (if feasible - it isn't always). On the other hand, I've never in my life consciously bought anything on the basis of an advert. Can't speak for the subliminal effect, of course

Arlo I'm afraid i find all pop ups an intrusion. I don't want aggressive advertising on the net, the insistent pop up type drive me away from whatever is being plugged on principle. discrete ads are fine, and I'm happy with little banners , but the sort of ad that shoots up, and stops your browsing while you have to deal with it - blech!

I'm surprised you say you almost never see the pop up types - i installed adblocker precisely because of them - and they went away. Now it seems they went away anyway!

Personally, I find the use of adblocker software is more likely to decrease my enjoyment of the internet, because it does block out stuff other than just adverts.

And actually, I WANT to be advertised to, provided it is relevant and not overly intrusive.

The only time I can see a purpose for adblocker software is to prevent irritating pop ups and the like, but it is so rarely that I ever stumble across a site with pop-ups these days that it really is of no use to me at all. And I'm a pretty heavy internet user.

My bad, i didn't even realise there were ads on this site! i have Mozilla Firefox with Adblocker plus so i never ever see any ads anywhere - makes for a wonderful browsing experience.

However in deference to Arlo, i have disablked it for Vetsurgeon.org - and was amazed at what popped up!

I have to say (to Arlo's past despair) I don't notice the adverts. Perhaps if they know it is annoying they'll do something amusing like the Go Compare advert where someone shoots that irritating bloke with the tash with a rocket launcher.

I am only able to provide you with everything on this site because it is paid for by advertisers. Block the ads, and you are effectively destroying my business!

We do not operate a pay-per-click system. We charge for displaying ads on the site.

If you find an advert particularly annoying, I would rather you sent me a message and allow me to try and fix the issue with the advertiser!

Switch on adblocker if you want to stop it appearing. Arlo may not be impressed but it may be he gets paid per click rather than it just appearing on the page!

I have disabled adblocker on this site just in case!

Still not as bad as the jumping flea - I renamed the product 'effin'flea'. Can't remember what they even advertised.
