don't care that they're robbing taxpayers-and it's even more taxpayers money they now want-every penny extra in their pension pots has been taken from taxpayers GRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not entirely accurate.

Doctors' agreed in 2008 to work for longer and contribute more of their salaries to their pensions. They agreed to pay more, work longer and receive less, and a settlement was reached. The government now wants to renege on that pre agreed deal.

Sure, doctors are well paid and their pension pots are large and generous, but this about the government trying to back track and move the goal posts without discussion. Incidentally, while doctors contribute about 14.5 % of their salary to their pension funds, politicians only contribute 6% to theirs.

NHS pension myths

[/quote]

BUT the world has changed a lot since 2008. What looked sustainable and affordable then is not so now! How did your pension contributions look in 2008 and how adequate do they look now?

I would say significantly greater than MOST people earn when they're actually employed.
