I would agree with you if you showed us your product. But you haven't. All you've shown us is a 'crappy' website (your words), so that is all we have to go on.

We don't base membership on whether or not we think someone's product is any good or not. It is only based on whether what you do is relevant, and we thought that with a domain name like that, it probably is! It's only since you have invited comment that I looked any closer.

Again, I do not mean to be hostile. Just giving you an frank opinion based on what you have presented. You may not like that opinion, which is fair enough. But perhaps you need to reconsider how you present things.

Incidentally, my qualifications for giving you this advice are that I did marketing communications and website building for one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies for about 15 years, and won a couple of awards. That doesn't make me right, I just mention it to put my post in context.

One of the biggest reasons for having a website is to advertise your product (be it a vet practice or a website buiding service) to new customers and inform existing ones about new products/keep them bonded to you. Given that your own website doesn't do that, and that you're actually in the business of making websites it doesn't give me much confidence in your service. Do you have any examples of sites that you've built?

You should know that there is a 'risk and reward' - our early users can expect to use our product for free for a long time. After coming out of the private beta (you may be surprised but we have registered users) such opportunities are going to be rare. Everyone can decide if he want to jump in early when the risk and the possible reward are higher or wait until the product is ready.

Thanks for the advice. I keep in mind these and other obstacles and I hope that I am not fooling myself and my co-founders. However this is my own risk that I am willing to take.

I believe that building a good product is far more important than 'polishing' a temporary 'sale' website. I have seen more than enough 'polished' websites that offer very bad products. This is one of the reasons why I started this.

I honestly provided all the required information during registration. The 'crappy' website is the same as on 28.03 when I filled the form. You should do checks if you insist on purity.

I don`t want to offend or mislead anyone. Everyone with a head on its shoulders can decide for himself what is good and what is bad. I am just presenting something . If you don`t like it - OK , move forward.

No, not really.

I wouldn't really mind if you were offering something of any real value to the members of this site, but all you have posted is a link to a website which is there for the purpose of harvesting email addresses, without any clear indication of what it is you offer, or how good or bad it is.

And even if you were to produce a really strong, professional offer, you are entering a very crowded marketplace AND you are based in Bulgaria, both of which I would suggest are going to prove significant barriers to entering the UK marketplace building veterinary websites.

We've had discussions about posts that are straight advertising before, and Arlo did reckon there were some he could allow; but in that case, to my mind, at least the poster should be a non-pseudonymous individual member, not a company.
