That's because you're doing them in summer, which is the wrong time of year entirely. What I do, is have them in winter. My St.Nicholas WInter Barbeque, to which I invite all the neighbours, is much more fun. You need to supply copious amounts of mulled drink, and make lots of fires in firebaskets so everyone can keep warm.

only had to work today so not too bad. Only 2 chocolate ingestions but 4 HGE's for other reasons - must be some nasty bug doing the rounds plus various other little problems but luckily nothing too taxing today.

Working today, tonight and tomorrow morning, then off until Tuesday. Weather bloody miserable up here (Cumbria) today but due to be nice tomorrow. Here's hoping...

Just got in from post-work dog walk... they don't close on the Friday up here! However... large tea made, nice fish bubbling away in the oven, dog stretched out at my feet looking muddy.... work again tomorrow, and then I'll start enjoying easter :0))

You must have worked for Cundall and Duffy? Their assistants house is up there. I'm originally from Scarborough.

Ha in my first job I lived on the top of Staxton hill just outside Scarborough. I know how cold it can get up there. Almost resorted to throwing the furniture into the fire!

Although officially closed I went in this morning. Did 3 'emergency' PDs, a ewe with a prolapsed cervix and a ewe that had prolapsed her intestines so did a salvage caeser and got 3 good live lambs. Did a bit of dispensing.

Not warm enough here to be outside drinking beer!
