If so what's your take on sending the nurse students out to riding stables to complete the equine NPL tasks??????

Re: TP congress

Well now you've asked......

Course was very well run, good venue, food etc

I just have 'issues' with what some of the speakers said but that's not a new thing! Did think the lecture about rolling out the NPL across Europe was pointless. Didn't help any clinical coaches in practice at all. The speaker from City and Guilds was thrown in the deep end a little. The impression we got was that they had only just started the change over process so didn't really have anything to 'update us' with.

The whole issue regarding equine tasks is a joke. Small animal practices have never had and will never have facilities for students to carry out equine tasks. If the colleges haven't done their maths and worked out how many horses and how much time you need to teach all the students they can't expect the small animal clinical coaches to pick up the pieces grrrrrrr.

Apart from that really enjoyed it

Re: TP congress

I did, but don't think it counts when I help run the thing. ;) we had more nurses attend than vets, might want to try the vet nurse forum or vetnurse.co.uk. That said, i'm curious to hear feedback on this myself.

Cheers,
