Absolutely right.

I'm sure I would not be first choice to run this business.

It's a question of 'more haste less speed' - or in this case 'hitting the damn button several times, because nothing seemed to have happened the first time'

We should just breath a sigh of relief that it was not a lot more!

I am sure the 'snake oil' salesmen could have persuaded Belgravia House that for a little (lot) more it could have pretty pictures and play soothing music!

I bet the right consultant could have got the same deal for £60 000!

I understand now!

My husband makes websites occasionally and he was amazed at the prices commercial companies charge, even the ones that advertise themselves as being cheap. £500 for a very poor quality one from a company advertised on the radio (just text/images, no log-ins etc). So that puts the price into perspective.

no, that was direct from the RCVS today in an e-mail, it is, and I cannot argue, apparently good value.

I wonder how much the online payment for your MRCVS fees has cost to set up?

And I wonder what the uptake of this has been since there is a compulsory 3% credit card charge.

I assume that the cost is £30,000 per year to the RCVS, out of our retention fees, to run the system, not for us to pay individually.
