MC's generally for disregard for personal safety under fire.

Knighthoods/CBE's etc are generally for complete disregard for the personal safety of others under fire. Hence the number of Generals etc with Knighthoods!!

Didn't Sir Huw Pyrs Wheldon OBE MC used to live down the road from you? What did he get the MC for? I'm pretty sure it was for a disregard of something or other - can you remember?

Huw Wheldon is well remembered in Bangor. I confess I didn't know he had the MC, so I have no idea where he earned it. Whatever the occasion, it would have involved complete disregard for personal safety under fire.

The big BUT is they are quoting figures for employed Vets and Dentists but then make the presumption that the self-employed earn much more! It is not unreasonable for a partner to earn more but they still have to get a dig in on principle!

Are self-employed vets earning much more? Locums?

Not all partners are struggling to find ways of spending their ill-gotten gains, I suspect more than a few are just struggling!
