My comment was tongue in cheek. My pension contributions in the last year have been three times more than the increase in the pension pot. Absolute waste of time in the short term. A comfortable retirement gets more of a dream every year!

I predict we'll all have a jolly good time, whinge a bit on the forums about what the RCVS has done this time (whatever they do), put up some good pics of some weird clinical case, and occasionally have a good discussion about what exactly some lovely mysterious malady is that's presented with no money! :p

LOL... no red stars from me; I'm just glad I live 400-odd miles away from London!

2012 will certainly be much better than 2011 - so that's something to look forward to.
