Also I remember an amusing walk up a place called "Nanny Farmer's Bottom"...... can't remember where that was exactly! Good luck!

Re: Cotswold Way

Thanks for the information guys! Carrying the tent will make it more difficult I know, but I've done rainforest treks for 5 days at a time carrying full kit (old fashioned tents!), food, cooking equipment, clothes etc so I know what I'm letting myself in for.

Re: Cotswold Way

[quote user="claire godfrey"]

I would strongly advise a support driver, there was nothing so wonderful as seeing my Mother-In-Laws car at the check points! And then you won't have to carry the tent! My husband also did Lands End to John O'Groat and their support driver set up the tents for them as well as meeting them at check points, he definately reccomends this.

Hot food is also a must along the way, soup was wonderful!

Good luck.

Not really. it is possible to get small tents less than 1.0kg in weight now. A bivvy bag even better and even lighter. Cotswold outdoor are having a(nother) sale at the moment. If going to buy much kit, it is worth joining the BMC to get 10% at many retailers.
