[/quote] With an iPhone you can 'add to home page' already - I've done it from the forum index so it's virtually set up as an app already.

Target is very good, it's an antibiotic formulary for dogs and cats that sorts based on place of infection and species.

You have to be a BSAVA member too....

I think the biggest issue with Android (which is also why sales have rocketed) is so many phone manufacturers use it, but at alarmingly variable quality. So if you run an HTC or similar high-end handpiece - great. If you run a cheaper handset - poor. At least iPhone is standard (high) quality. And really, you're so NOT restricted that much; I've never noticed an issue.

I'd love an App version (preferably with forum access) and would gladly pay £0.69p for it (or even a little more) to be add-free and to reward Arlo for his efforts.

BSAVA formulary and procedures apps are really handy! Angry birds of course for stress reduction (game not app!).

Ahh so you based it on traffic - fair enough - but I would plan for the future as well ;)

What you could do is have 2 versions - 1 with adverts from the site and 1 without (android) or 1 ltd free version and 1 full version paid with access to everything (iphone) - that's the way it seems to be with apps presently?

Yes, but amongst members of this site, it is so far running neck and neck between Iphone and 'the others'.

Probably as many as iphone users? Some ios/iphone apps are free, Some Android apps are also free I don't see the issue? - presumably the vetsurgeon app will be free?

I am not an Android fanboy but I don't get the obsession with Apple and ios - ios is based on linux as is Android - sure ios looks a bit more fancy and due to its age there are more apps but the price difference is huge esp with ipads vs android tablets? I have had both and I really hate the contraints of ios and the fact if you want to do something extra you need to buy proprietary software/hardware signed off by apple!

Don't wish to be harsh Arlo but I think you need to do more market research - you might think with Apple's huge advertising budget that this is the case but I am afraid its not!

Well, must admit I am surprised by the number of Android users, though I am not sure it does have the biggest market share (the non-iphone users would include dingleberries or loganberries or whatever they're called as well).
