Not sure what it could be. Seems that this lesion in the anterior chamber.
You can see the lesion in vertical axis on the pupil.
The photo is not ideal, the rabbit

Re: White lesion in Eye - Rabbit

As above - E, Cuniculi unless otherwise?
Also if you think not in the lens think re bacteria - partic pasteurella

I use alot of systemic duphapenstrep injections - once daily at 0.04mls/kg {however we have had problems getting this for the last few months }

so we now use duphapen fort {300mg/ml} at 40mg/kg every 2 days sc in rabbits . NB these are off license.

Hope this helps

Re: White lesion in Eye - Rabbit

Thanks guys to everyone!!

The rabbit doesnt have any other sign though, and the lesion seems to be in the anterior chamber and not affecting the lens.

But again, it was very difficult to handle.

[quote user="Karen-Anne Smith"]

it is more likely the rabbit actually got EC in utero. see article in the vet record's In Practice

I haven't read this paper in the In Practice. Is it in the last issue?

And is there any good soul (italian way of saying, but it's good thing! ) who could send it to me via e-mail?

Thanks again!

But I remember something about vessel remnants in eyes - would this fit? Is it in the lens, on the lens or in the anterior chamber? Does it cause a shadow on the retina? I think I'm better at bunnies than eyes though!

I'd agree - did it appear to involve the lens?
