When I say it worked quite well - it prevented him licking his paws to the extent it made his skin sore. His absolute favourite thing to lick in an obsessive compulsive way is my partners freshly shaved head! Not sure if this counts as more disgusting than Fishermans Friends?!

I tried using Leo bitter spray to try to deter my first Jack Russell from spending every car journey pathologically licking and salivating down the car windows (got fed up of an inch of saliva sloshing round the map pocket on the door, and people threatening to report me to the RSPCA) - he loved it, just licked even more. Mind you he also liked Fisherman Friends

I do believe Leo has now morphed into Dechra via VetXX or somesuch. They make a product called 'Bitter Spray' . I can speak from personal experience that it is indeed very bitter. Hold your breath when you're applying it and wash your hands directly afterwards. Worked quite well on my Jack Russell who is a pathological foot chewer.

Leo (or whatever it is they are called now!) do a bitter spray, not sure if that's the one you're after?
