Seems an excellent idea, but how would the VMD view this?

We had a similar problem with wastage from large apomorphine vials, but were advised to split the 'wasted' amount into doses in syringes, then freeze them. These could then be defrosted when needed - it still works fine!

No, wasn't having a go, but EVERY source including NVS and Dunlops only has the 5ml amp of 10mg and, as the dose is 0.01mg/Kg, I think, it means a 50kg lab gets 0.5mg which means, under the 28 day rule[!!!!] 9.5mg is chucked and, as one uses it once a year or so, I thought the 2ml size was better.

Apparently it is "on long term manufacturing delay" but it's used in a 10mg dose in Parkinson's so they may not remanufacture that size.

Um, think they're only in 5ml size. And a quarter of the price compared with what other source??

[/quote] They are 2 mL as well. We get them from NVS. The stuff we used to get from NVS cost approximated 4x as much for a 2mL vial. I'm not lying or making prices up, is that enough info for you?

Apogo in stock at Dunlops according to Connect, 5 X 2ml for £52.60 (BTAPO01) versus Apomorphine in 5 X 5ml vials at £91.39 list prices.

So big vials cheaper per ml, but more wasteful.

Last ones we got were 2ml I think and were "Apo-go". Pretty sure they were from NVS
