There is another post that suggests there is no legal obligation to supply reagents which is probably correct but I had a similar problem with QCR/Trio with the supply of electrodes for an electrolyte analyser and used it as a lever to get a better discount off a Vetscan machine from them. Maybe if there is a long-term issue with the supplies for your machine you should cut at least some of your losses and Woodley may come to a similar agreement on another type.

Have you tried this company http://www.cruinn.ie to enquire whether they still have any stock? They obtain through Woodley but you might be lucky. They will probably cite distribution restrictions but in an emergency there are ways around these.

See if you can get QCR to lend/trial their machine. Most income (as with printers) is from consumables so I suspect they will jump at the chance to get their knees under the table.

I understand the rotors are not compatible with the VetScan from QCR.

Have you spoken to Melet Schloesing direct?

Will Woodley lend you an alternative machine that they can get reagants for?

Thanks but no use; the company that make the MScan II have a stranglehold on the rotor supply, unfortunately they can't supply.

Not sure if it's any help but we get our VetTest slides from QCR.

I do not use this machine so I confess to knowing little about it but presumably Woodley are not the manufacturers, merely distributors. Is it not possible to get back to the actual manufacturer (or do you need to speak Chinese to do so?). Is it the same as the Vetscan, and would those rotors do?

There is a company in the Republic of Ireland (Cruinn, I think) that might be able to help if you can track them down over the internet. Of course they might be in the same situation as Woodley.

I doubt that you would have much recourse in law as the warranty probably applies only to the machine, not to the supply of reagents. Good luck, anyway.
