Work up showed raised eosinphils, alb low normal, low folate and cobalamin. Normal cortisol and TLI.
So it was lungworm after all?

Combo of inhaled steroid, systemmic pred and bonchodilators. Actually she did ok no worse than the average chronic bronchitis but we did need to learn to watch for allergic triggers and up treatment at times eg she got markedly worse when the volcanic ash cloud started.

She didn't have GI signs but did have eosinophilla and rads/bal were as diagnostic as I could get fenosinophillic pneumonia.

Re: Treatment of eosinphilic pneumonia

This sounds like a multiply allergic dog with fairly common GSD gut problems. I would be wary of diagnosing eosinophilc pneumonia on the tests performed it could be asthmatic with a secondary or commensal E.coli. You should have ruled out lungworm hopefully with your Panacur as that would have worried me. I would think trying an inhaled steroid would be a practical therapeutic trial at this stage, not much experience in dogs though only cats.
