I found it incredibly useful.

Re: Free Webinar - Post-Hibernation Care of Tortoises

[quote user="Stuart McArthur B Vet Med MRCVS"]

It is free for the moment anyway.

For clarity as requested: I have started to put my next tortoise book (No3) up there and will probably upload it gradually over this winter along with similar work by colleagues with interest in exotics and/or critical care, once a VMR compliant cascade pan species formulary is in place. This will underpin critical data given - especially for minor species. I am delighted that this webinar is available and love that people take time to give good treatment to chelonians .

I was responding to the bit earlier about access to minor species critical care data.

If you want to see the main thrust of the VetFormulay Project follow the thread on the VetPol forum (http://www.vetpol.co.uk/showthread.php?1337-The-Vet-Formulary-Project&p=3011#post3011) A letter will shortly be published in the veterinary record encouraging
debate and development of this subject. (Veterinary Record

Apologies if anyone felt that this was spam. I just wanted to make vets who may be interested aware of the webinar.

All MRCVS and RVNs can register for free at present and there is a bit of "fluid therapy in the auric hyperuricaemic post hibernation tortoise" stuff there already however more will be posted this Autumn.

One problem in reptile medicine is terminology as any time a tortoise of a hibernating species is not hibernating could be construed as "post hibernation" so the title post hibernation care covers everything!

Fair enough. The problem was that neither your profile nor your post made it clear that you were making that remark as a vet! Could I ask you to add a little biographical detail to your profile. And ideally add your job title / company to your signature, which appears discreetly under each post, like Mark's. That will then keep your post in context.
