Just had a look at the slides - there is a marked lymphocytosis and eosinophilia - Lymphocytes are obviously delicate as most ruptured but where intact they are large lymphocytes/blasts (at least 2-2.5 x rbc diam) - so were looking at a lymphoblastic leukaemia - this could, given the history be a terminal event due to a high grade lymphoma i.e. intestinal or a primary marrow tumour i.e. primary leukaemia - I expect the eosinophilia is due to the lymphoid cells being T-cell in origin. Some piccies of large lymphocytes and some including the eosinophils. (from someone not formally trained in haematology, sorry).

From my knowledge, increased in the number of
white blood cell or commonly known as leukocytosis can be caused
by infection, inflammation, allergic reaction, malignancy, hereditary
disorders, or other miscellaneous causes.

The increased count of components of white blood cells may be caused by following reasons:

1)Increase in Neutrophil – bacterial infection
2)Increase in Lymphocyte – viral infection
3)Increase in Eosinophil – allergic reaction, parasitic infection

Leukocytosis is not a diagnosis, the cause of leukocytosis is
the actual diagnosis. So the vet should interpret the cause of it and start the treatment accordingly.
