Ohhh yes. My own collie had anxiety related travel sickness and I tried cerenia when it was first licenced for motion sickness - given exactly as per the data sheet . The result was equivalent to giving a dose of apomorphine - needless to say I've been a bit reluctant to recommend it since, especially since the rep was determined that it was due to me "giving it incorrectly" rather than being concerned at the severity of the vomiting it induced. I actually found that Zylkene worked for her (and simply getting her used to short journeys to nice walks)

Re: anxiety and motion sickness

It helps with a number of different forms of anxiety: fear of thunder, seperation anxiety, barking problems, car or travel anxiety, crate anxiety, reactivity, general fearfulness, excitability, leash pulling, and general training. We've had some fantastic feedback on the product in the few months we have been supplying it. Thundershirt is essentially a pressure wrap that works in the same way swaddling does for a baby. This constant gentle pressure has a calming effect on the dogs nervous system, so it calms dogs that are anxious or over-excited. It's machine washable, breathable, and easy to fit! In the US, the results have been staggering - 98% have had success with it. We have a few samples available if anyone is interested in trialing the product. Prob go for mid to higher end of dose range. Can repeat after 4 hours of necessary and then it lasts for another good 4-8 hours. Could prob give cerenia as well to prevent vomiting, but again check formulary for any contraindications for giving together although can't think of any off top of my head. Or get them to leave dog at home/kennels unless separation anxiety is worse than travel anxiety!!! Hope that helps.
