&lt;p&gt;Sounds like CNS pain/discomfort- just thinking it sounds similar to the signs some dogs with syringomyelia show- the first one I ever diagnosed, I investigated for ear problems initially, but turned out to be syringomyelia. I would think more likely to be changes occurring intracranially than acute ear irritation triggering the seizures.&lt;/p&gt;
