Seriously, what is going on at the moment? Seems like half the products (slight exaggeration maybe) we regularly use are having problems. Recent examples - ACP, Metricure, live IBR vaccines, Nobivac vaccines on and off, Toxo and EAE vaccines, Cobactan injection for a bit. Then of course Ubro Yellow tubes 'temporarily unavailable' - not been seen since 2009. Am I missing something, or is this just how the cookie crumbles?

Guess we will try and stockpile some acp for now which may see us through if it is only a 6 month thing-otherwise try the dom regime.

In answer to your question we use 0.1ml/10kg Domitor and same Torb [or cheaper generic]. Nicely sedated, veins still fine to hit. Just make sure you give induction agent slowly as a bolus can take a full minute to reach maximum effect. We use this as no qualified nursing staff and makes the dogs easier to restrain. You only need a tiny bit of propofol to.

We got a letter the other day - basically advised us that future supplies would have to be sourced through a SIC from France. It did say that this was only a temporary situation and may be revised in the 6 months. I'm not sure that this would be the case though and more than likely a more permanent situation unless some other company comes up with a alternative.

Yes, that's the word on the street, although we've not been notified by Novartis of this. Just bought some extra supplies to see us through for now.
