I have a 4 month old Westie puppy that is miserable and seems to resent palpation of its mandible, tympanic bullae and TMJ, and opening of its mouth. mandible does not feel thickened or irregular

Re: Craniomandibular Osteopathy

The West Highland White Terrier - sponsored by Novartis the makers of Atopica. Our CMO dogs have been really distressed at times.
Ditto. Steroids, and as they seem to be more effective, I worry less about the side-effects than the severe pain that these puppies usually have.

Re: Craniomandibular Osteopathy

I'd go for steroids; tried NSAIDs in the past but disappointing results.

Re: Craniomandibular Osteopathy

I've got this guy on Metacam so far, but no diagnosis yet as rads due on Monday.
