Have only seen single case of distemper in a ferret in the last couple of years and once confirmed was euthanased as prognosis pretty hopeless. Despite most owners being put off by what they read regarding adverse reactions I haven't seen a single reactor.

Re: Distemper in ferrets

Have seen 3 or 4 ferrets with distemper over last 5 years or so , depressed neuro signs mainly quite acute onset , sneezing snotty eyes , all have been euthanaised at owners request rather than treating.

vaccination uptake extremely poor despite us running a warning article in local paper one year.
