What grade MCT did you remove? Would you really suggest treatment with Masivet over what is in many cases (grade I and many II MCTs) definitive surgical treatment? OK if your biopsy is a grade III or there are mets then maybe it's a medical rather than surgical case.

Re: Where can I find info on mastinib?

Try contacting Gerry Polton at gpolton@ndsr.co.uk , he was responsible for the UK trials I believe, at least I attended a very informative seminar by him a few months back.

Re: Where can I find info on mastinib?

Masivet is very effective in the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It was carried out with 300 dogs. 2-week period will be submitted to the European Congress of Dermatology. Posology: the first three months of daily given 12.5 mg / kg. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment should continue for 2 months. During the first 3 months. given a full dose, and then applied to individual need. It is necessary to carry out monitoring: haematological cr. A study of liver enzymes, urea, creatinine and albumin - every 2 weeks during the first three months. After three months, when it becomes clear the reaction monitoring can be done less frequently. And because it is with us in Lithuania is not cheap 150 mg N30

cost somewhere in the £ 150 so it is not the widely used for treatment MCT.Last week, I surgically remove the tumor MCT French Bulldog. But first I suggest you try the treatment with Mastivet. The dog owner turned out such a treatment is too expensive.
