Love the prophy cup thing! Also worth noting that the 1ml vials are better for oral use as they don't taste as bad as the 10ml preparation which has preservative in it.

I always dispense a few days supply at a time in premeasured 1ml syringes. i used to use the caps from the end of fevaxyn vaccine syringes that had been washed and soaked in spirit, but I worked at a clinic last week where the nurse sealed them with prophy cups, which actually worked really well.

On a slightly different note I gave my daughter some SAMe capsules as I was so worried her student drinking habits were pickling her liver (as its a GSL product there should be no repercussions here) but her friends quickly discovered that it was an excellent hangover cure and I could have supplied the entire student population of Cambridge if I'd wanted but thought that might be a bit dodgy! On the subject of the RAF Police, I also used to be vet to a base and was given a pass so I could gain free access to the officer's mess and can confirm that the prices there were probably conducive to more than occasionally over-imbibing the alcoholic beverage.

We usually dispense it in 1ml syringes with a cap on them (Closed Caps from Infusion Concepts). I have on occasion dispensed 10ml bottles - a cat with chronic pancreatitis and a trusted owner who injected the cat. You could dispense a bottle and use a dispensing 'pin' (again Infusion Concepts) to avoid the owner needing to use a needle.

As it's going to be given orally we dispense it in brown pill bottles. Owners always complain that they can't get the last bit out but I'd prefer to put it in a child proof bottle and not supply owners with needles unless necessary

It should be ok to supply as it is the same schedule as phenobarbitone I think? I would think ok to supply as much as required for a few days for the animal.

Not sure about the container - syringes are a bit messy and annoying. I wasn't aware it was damaged by light...
