Young kittens - dermatophytes until proven otherwise I would say. Might be fun convincing owner that biopsy required if no other answers forthcoming.

Re: skin lesions kittens - any ideas?

Could be dermatophytic psuedomycetomas which are subcutaneous dermatophytic infection - What breed of cat as Persians are predisoposed. That said I would aspirate a couple of them and see what you draw out. Inflamm or Keratin i.e. cysts but cats rarely develop keratinous cysts. Unfortunately in my experience could be many things - what was the rate of onset? Progression?

I doubt given the presenation its pox or herpesvirus as these tend not to be "nodular" and are acute and most often ulcerative.

Re: skin lesions kittens - any ideas?

all had been frontline sprayed just previously so will need an interval. dermatophytes/weird fungals were top of my list and culture was mentioned but o prefers wait and see because "not bothering them" even tho i mentioned what a horror ringworm can be to a cat breeder if not dealt with promptly!!

glad to see the suggestions are pretty much what i have considered - was wondering if there was some weird disease i'd missed!
