Here's a dog that has me confuzzled. it is the poster boy for Cushing's - beagle, pendulous abdomen, lethargy and panting, muscle wastage, very PU/PD.
He was on and off steroids since 2003 - 2008 for allergies and disc problems.
How does she come to this conclusion?

From the Tardak data sheet:

"Transient side-effects of increased appetite, polydipsia and polyuria
have occasionally been seen following administration of Tardak."

"Tardak should be used with great care when animals are under treatment
with other steroids."

My guess would be that the combination of the steroid and the Tardak could be responsible for the signs. I did see a dog recently presented similar that had a prostatic tumour (but not raised calcium!). Picked up on rads.

Re: Help with a case

Further thought....... any sign of perianal adenoma / adenocarcinoma.

Re: Help with a case

did you measure the calcium levels?
