Many thanks Mike. It has been a good way of doing some interesting CPD, and I think the time frame has been about right. It has allowed enough time to go away and think, take on board and think about comments from others, and dust off the old books.

Thanks Mike, I thought it was very useful and worked well. I especially like having the opportunity to vote on what would you do next..it's nice to be able vote anonymously for people like me who are frightened of looking stupid. :-) (though fortunately I voted for the correct answer!) . I liked the release of information/diagnostic findings a bit at a time, gives you time to think about things .

I thought it worked Mike Useful tip about low strength fenbendazole on clinical cases I've always given 50mgs/kg from the start and also given preds to suppress the fulminating reaction to the dead angio I'm glad from the discussion that others in less endemic parts of the country were nearly all considering angio Also glad I gave you a laugh !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Answers....well my opinion that is, and what I did, or would have done .... is now posted.

The aim of this month's quiz was a tutorial style case presentation. Did it work? I'm not sure. Did it drag on a bit? Or did the release of information and then the diagnostic findings given a bit at a time help?

I expect a faecal sample is the easiest least invasive next step that may reveal the answer ie Aleurostrongylus all the rage at the moment but it may not!

I would definitely start therapy with bactericidal antibiotics and dare I suggest dexamethazone short acting.......in addtion to therapy for lungworm as in option 8.
