A 5 year old black lab that had been seen by multiple vets (at least 3 practices) without having reached any diagnosis. Having presented to their 2nd vets with a initial presentation of eye infection

Re: Periorbital alopecia

diet trial?

Re: Periorbital alopecia

Biopsies and consider zinc. Any steroid therapies relating to the colitis? I'd look at two aspects (if so): Addisons - certainly seen in a few labs and inheritable; also possibility of calcinosis cutis - in case you might think it far fetched, I had a case this year with very similar presentation (skin problems. Steroids. Skin problems persist. More steroids. You get the picture).

Also, how may skin scrapes before ruling negative. Any ad hoc Stronghold treatments?
