For draining fluid, I use the Active Drainage Extension | Infusion Concepts
where I can hold the needle where I want it and just suck and squirt with the syringe.
For ear flushing, what would be the equivalent product

RE: Ban the 3-way tap!

Yeah, I’ve been using this for probably close to 20 years now. Wouldn’t ever go back to 3 way tap. Huge time saver, esp for large volumes, eg big dog pneumothorax. But great for all sizes and all cavity effusions.

No idea about ear flushing, but for sure you could adapt this somehow using extensions and soft tubing?

The name “active drainage extension” leaves a lot to be desired though…

There are several other similar products from other companies like DMS (as above), Mila etc .

RE: Ban the 3-way tap!
For draining fluid, I use the Active Drainage Extension | Infusion Concepts
Happy to post you a used one to play with. Can be near twice the speed of a three way tap though and ultimately time is money.

RE: Ban the 3-way tap!

I'm OK with 3 way taps but I do need to teach everyone who helps me with drainage, and that can be weekly.
