A podcast I listened to advised swapping to the exact same dose I.e. 3.5 iu bid for your patient. If the cat had the Freestyle the owner can closely monitor that it doesn’t go hypoglycaemic. Perhaps best to start when the owner is going to be at home most of the day.

When did everyone seemingly fall out with Caninsulin? Did you fall out with your phone at a similar time?

I've said recently, I'm more interested in weigh and pu/pd than exact numbers. I'd always start on Caninsulin and can only think of a very few animals we couldn't stabilise.

I wonder how the compliance of TID insulin in a cat is going to be!

What's the diet the cat is on and meals or ad-lib?

I have never tried it, but since your current med obviously lowers glycaemia. Would a much lower dose TID be an option?
