Thank you Sarah Keir - I have also had a few private replies about this - very strange all round as the Lintbells website has "Clinically proven to work in 6 weeks...Canine study conducted by the Royal Veterinary College" all over it.

It does show, however, that the VS.org community is the place to go for somewhat esoteric questions

Sarah Keir - that's really interesting. Strangely, it makes me less skeptical if anything. I mean, if they did a study, found a benefit, but were not allowed to share it because the authorities said that would give it a medical claim .. then .. well ... there may be a benefit, but they are not allowed to tell you!

They weren't allowed to publish. Something about if they prove it was effective, it would have to be licensed as a medicine and Lintbells did not want to pay those costs. Which immediately makes me more skeptical about their claims!

Thank you, yes I found the data on file bit (eventually).

I remember it being promoted fairly widely at the time e.g.

If it was never published I wonder why
